Ask me how good the maiden victory tastes?
We participated in inter IT cricket tournament this year also. This was our second time participation in this tournament, first being in 2008-09. Our first tournament experience was bitter one as we failed to score a maiden victory and lost all 7 matches in a row. But this time, we participated with whole new team and energy but again everything repeated until the last match against another team like us. They had also not conceided any victory till now and were looking to score a maiden against us. Both teams were eager to register their first win in tournament.
The match was actually delayed and was scheduled on a day after quarter final matches. So it was like playing in knock out stage. We were really in dire desire of attaining the victory.
Our captain Rahul (Original captain Atul's backup!) lost the toss and we were out in field as bowling side. The match was already reduced to 10 overs each due to insufficient time. We really bowled well and restricted the opponents at 71.
And then, the chase happened in such a dramatic fashion that both teams till end remained the probable victorious side. But finally, we turned it on our side and won it by 3 wickets and 3 balls to spare.
